Requirements:Johnson’s environmentally friendly houseboat has an inboard engine (noise free-non-pollutant). The bathroom is fitted with a bio-tank. No plastic is sold on board. Power for the eco-friendly CFL lamps/bulbs and fan is derived from the boat’s engine using invertors/alternator method, with storage batteries

Cancellation Policy:80% of advance paid is refunded if Cancellation happens before 45 days of booked date.
50% of advance paid is refunded if Cancellation happens between 30 and 44 days of booked date.
No refund if booking is cancelled less than 29 days of the booking date, whatever be the amount sent as advance.
It is difficult, if not impossible and expensive to send money out of India, in case of cancellation. Thus, all cancellation refunds will only be made to address in India, and any sundry expenses to be borne by the clients.
Even after the advance is sent, please be kind enough to send three reminders, one a month before and the last two at your convenience, within the last week. This might be considered an odd request. It is also the best way to cut off all chances of last minute misunderstandings, overlapping of dates, et al.

Defintiely the most scenic and meaningful part of the backwaters is in and around Alleppey. The hub of houseboat tourism, it attracts tourists, both Domestic and International throughout the year. Kuttanadu, the famed rice bowl of Kerala, is a scenic village- a huge area partly reclaimed form the water. It's one of the few places in the world where the water level is higher then the land level. Alappuzha also hosts most of the major Snake boat races of Kerala, including the world famous Nehru trophy boat race.
